Welcome to the Molecular Biophysics (MB) group of the Department Di.S.V.A.  Polytechnic University of Marche in Ancona, Italy.

The research of the group focuses on the analysis of structural properties and polymorphism of molecules and systems of biological interest 
using X-ray and neutron scattering techniques.

Our current research falls in three main areas: 

• structural and conformational properties of proteins in solution

• structural   properties   and interactions in  quadruplexes of guanosine

• structure and stability of non-lamellar lyotropic lipidic phases

The MB group currently includes three faculty researchers, two PhD students, and a post-graduated student.

The MB group is headed by Prof. Paolo Mariani.
